Providence is calling a Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to play an integral role in the financial and analytical support for healthcare transformation by providing financial, strategic and economic analyses of diversified growth opportunities, insights into current performance, and recommendations to system-wide collaborative groups of clinical leaders and administrative executives. As the organization transitions to Health 2.0, a patient centric, digitally enabled model utilizing strategic partnerships and new sources of revenue, the need to understand and effectively communicate value creation drivers and sustainable financial strategies is paramount to delivering the PSJH mission.
In this position you will:
Develop financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, capital investment, revenue diversification, and cost reduction opportunities on behalf of the System CFO. By its nature, these projects will be more complex, incorporate high risk and return and have impacts material to the system.
Execute market and competitive analysis to support strategy, business development and the long range financial planning process.
Construct sophisticated financial/ economic analyses including:Return On Invested Capital (ROIC) decomposition/ optimization; product, customer and portfolio profitability; scenario modeling and competitive analysis.
Provide consulting services to system operations, functions and clinical programs to evaluate opportunities to improve financial performance and/or mission return.
Connect strategic decisions and options with financial analysis and impacts, including the risks of status quo.
Collaborate with cross-functional peers to achieve objectives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree in Business Administration or Health Administrationor a Bachelor's with commensurate education & experience.
A minimum of 3yrs of progressive responsibility in business analytics, strategic financial management, strategic planning and/or consulting roles.
Strong foundation in Excel, financial modeling and business valuation
Outstanding problem solving, analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to deal with ambiguity.
Highly developed interpersonal skills allowing the candidate to build trust and confidence with peers and managers within and outside of the Strategic Finance team.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Solid working knowledge of healthcare finance or strong interest and desire to invest the substantial time necessary to learn.
Ability to structure analysis in a logical format and turn data into actionable information.
Ability to present complex information to diverse stakeholder groups with clarity and confidence,
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
