Providence Health & Services Retirement Analyst PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Retirement Analyst PSJH to our location in Renton, WA. This is a long term, fully benefitted, limited duration position.
We are seeking a Retirement Analyst PSJH to own various functions related to administering the day-to-day operations of the retirement program. The Retirement Analyst will provide key support to management, the Retirement Service Center, and Project Manager in the areas of analytical and reporting support for the retirement program, providing subject matter expertise, working with internal and external partners to implement fund lineup changes and plan mergers/affiliations/acquisitions/spinoffs, research and respond to payroll audit reports, and to implement other programmatic or administrative enhancements identified by management. The Retirement Analyst will be able to identify, research, and resolve issues by applying best practices, retirement knowledge, system research, and consulting with co-workers and supervisor.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Promote awareness and understanding of the retirement program. This may include, but is not limited to, leading retirement education sessions, answering and documenting participant questions, answering Retirement Service Center questions, and responding to requests from other internal and external clients.
Support processing of documents necessary for implementation of various retirement plans and maintenance of such records as required for compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other applicable regulations.
Reference plan documents to ensure accurate administration. Help identify plan design and process improvement opportunities and innovations for management team review.
Work with Audit and Compliance Analyst to compile financial and statistical compliance information and other reports for initial review by retirement management team.
Help maintain positive vendor relationships, including regular interactions with the programs’ record keepers and administrators, actuaries, and consultants.
Help identify opportunities for process improvements and complete special projects designed to improve retirement operations, as assigned.
Act as subject matter expert in retirement systems and applications and support efforts of fellow analysts and Retirement Service Center specialists in requesting, testing, and implementing necessary changes.
Provide operational reports and service analytics, including ad hoc reports.
Research issues and formulate resolutions by applying best practices and plan knowledge.
Manage multiple priorities with the support of a Project Manager and management and thrive in a deadline-driven environment with frequently changing priorities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or Business or equivalent education/experience.
2 years related experience.
Professional experience working with employee retirement benefit plans.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced degree or equivalent education/experience.
Coursework/Training: CEBS, QPA, QKA, SPHR, or PHR or equivalent education/experience.
