Providence Health & Services Reimbursement Coordinator in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Reimbursement Coordinator to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Reimbursement Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating various tasks for the Reimbursement Department, including assisting the Director Reimbursement Administration with Medicare cost report appeals, monitoring the Reimbursement Department email and distributing correspondence appropriately, and providing assistance to the other Directors and employees of the Department as assigned. The Reimbursement Coordinator will also assist with Medicare cost report appeals, including developing and maintaining a comprehensive appeals tracking tool for all hospitals/entities for the system, keeping up on key dates related to cost report Notices of Program Reimbursement (NPRs), appeal deadlines, deadlines to add new issues, position paper deadlines and hearing dates will be key components of the tracking in order to maintain valid appeals for the organization.
In this position you will:
Gather all Medicare NPRs, log the dates in the Appeals Tracker, and save copies of them on the network drives.
Monitor key dates in the Appeal Tracker and work with the Director Reimbursement Administration on meeting the dates to maintain current and valid appeals for the organization.
Assist Director Reimbursement Administration with drafting documents related to Medicare appeals and developing standard templates related to appeal matters, including Requests for Hearing, PRRB Model Forms, Position Papers and Exhibits and other documents as necessary.
Assist the Chief of Reimbursement, Director of Reimbursement Regulatory Reporting and Director Reimbursement Administration in tracking all correspondence to the department through the US Mail, Reimbursement Department shared email and other means; assist with routing the correspondence to the appropriate people, including creating archives and back-up of the correspondence in electronica media in the appropriate network files to ensure information is maintained.
Assist the Chief of Reimbursement and the Directors of Reimbursement with travel arrangements as requested.
Provide assistance and coordination on departmental functions, such as department meetings, education events and group matters as directed.
Assist with filing of vendor contracts and invoices and submit approved invoices to Accounts Payable for payment.
Assistthe Director Reimbursement Administration, Director Reimbursement RegulatoryReporting and other Reimbursement Staff with mailing information to theMedicare Administrative Contractor or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Servicesand burning data files to CDs.
Assistthe Reimbursement Department with coordinating and maintaining ReimbursementCaregivers’ access to systems.
Assistthe Reimbursement Department with Education initiatives, including scheduling,event coordination, and tracking of caregiver education hours.
Assist the Chief Reimbursement Officer,Director Reimbursement Administration, and the Reimbursement Department withmaintenance and development of a department Sharepoint site.
Assistthe Chief Reimbursement Officer, Director Reimbursement Administration, and theReimbursement Department with further developing departmental policies.
Assistthe Chief Reimbursement Officer, Director Reimbursement Administration, and theReimbursement Department with further developing and maintaining standardizeprocesses for onboarding new caregivers.
OtherDuties as assigned by the Chief Reimbursement Officer, Director ReimbursementAdministration, Director Reimbursement Regulatory Reporting, and DirectorReimbursement Financial Reporting.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate degree with relevant combination of education and/or experience.
Two years of experience in a professional office environment.
Minimum 1-3 years demonstrated experience in healthcare reimbursement.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
Previous experience as a Paralegal.
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement/claims.
Knowledge of third party reimbursement.
