Providence Health & Services Project Manager in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Project Manager to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Project Manager to be accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information technology, clinical informatics, physician practice implementations, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor.
The Project Manager 2 ensures projects are planned and executed in a manner that supports the Providence Health & Services mission, integration and collaboration across the health system, and meets the organizational objectives.
In this position you will:
Develop projects in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans and objectives.
Build support to influence decisions in order to ensure work toward common objectives.
Manage client expectations from initial problem identification and through the project lifecycle.
Develop and gain sponsor approval and signoff of the project charter and work breakdown schedule.
Develop and lead the project team to the delivery of successful project outcomes.
Build and manage multiple, multi-functional collaborative project and/or work teams.
Coordinate the activities of multi-functional teams, as well as the project budget, task dependencies and schedule.
Develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
Maintain all project artifacts.
Identify, deliver and document organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project.
Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, management and stakeholders.
Required qualifications for this position include:
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Education and experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
CAP, Workout and Lean education required as soon as available or within the 1st year on the job.
Six years of experience leading large, diverse and often complex projects.
Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.
Experience with PM methodologies and software.
Experience making formal and informal presentations to senior and executive management and key stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience developing and modifying process standards and objectives to a project as appropriate.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Project Management Professional designation (PMI) Certification.
Experience working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
