Providence Health & Services MarComm Program Coordinator in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a MarComm Program Coordinator to Valley Office Park in Renton, WA or Providence Office Park in Portland, OR.
The program coordinator is a key support role for the business operations of the marketing and communication department. The position performs budget facilitation tasks that enable marketing and communication leaders to effectively manage their marketing and communication programs. The role promotes and supports end to end due diligence for the purchasing and workflow process. Purchasing includes: upfront expense validation, contract compliance, new vendor setup, invoice processing and reporting. This position will work closely with the operations management team and marketing and communication leaders.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for operations tasks that support the end to end purchase request process. Including, but not limited to: management of incoming purchase requests; facilitation of new vendor setup and documentation; contract management; data analysis and reporting; invoice processing and data entry and hygiene within central budget tracking tool.
Serves as main point of contact for leaders with budget accountability. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy while exercising a respect for confidentiality. Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in handling incoming and outbound information and material.
Extensive use of Microsoft Office suite and other technologies to complete complex assignments with timeliness and accuracy.
Dedicated to continual improvement through creation/modification of efficient and accurate procedures to address work flow in functional area of responsibility. Helps guide others to move toward successful adoption of processes and tools.
Prioritizes and organizes both short-term and long-term responsibilities in response to frequently changing demands and frequent interruptions.
Performs assigned individual tasks as well as contributes to the completion of overall department goals and assists others in completion of high priority tasks when necessary to meet deadlines. Completes all necessary duties and associated data entry in an accurate and timely manner.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
3 years of accounting or budget management experience.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction and problem identification and resolution.
Demonstrated high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met and the work is successfully completed within deadlines.
Strong computer skills – must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint) and have the ability to learn other software programs as needed.
Knowledge of business operations and procurement best practices.
Demonstrated critical thinking and effective problem solving skills.
Ability to work with multiple teams and prioritize/organize tasks with competing deadlines and able to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned duties.
Skilled in verbal and written communication that is timely, accurate, professional, consistent, and targeted to the appropriate level.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 3 years of experience in marketing operations.
