Providence Health & Services desires to hire a Hyperion Administrator Applications Analyst, Senior ("Hyperion Administrator") in Renton, Washington. The Hyperion Administrator analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devices or modifies procedures to process data and solve problems. The Hyperion Administrator uses in-depth information and analysis to provide management with advice and counsel on a variety of business issues. Issues are often highly technical and complex in nature.
The Hyperion Administrator uses a wide application of complex principles, theories, and concepts in the specific field, plus a working knowledge of related disciplines to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Leads medium to large internal project work teams developing project plans and work plans.
The Hyperion Administrator reviews schedules, cost and documentation to ensure success of projects. Mentors and assists others in support of applications, projects and goals. Typically deals with users to determine appropriate requirements of complex systems.
The Hyperion Administrator performs the following duties:
Demonstrates an understanding of complex customer needs and business processes.
Defines user requirements for complex systems.
Performs highly complex qualitative and/or quantitative analyses.
Leads project teams as needed, but does not supervise the work of other employees.
Identifies and creates standards and processes to support the application portfolio management.
Develops and application lifecycle, and oversees a large portfolio of applications in cooperation with analysts, project managers, and strategic partners.
Manages upgrades for complex systems.
Develops, facilitates and reports test plans for application patches, upgrades and infrastructure configuration changes.
Assist others in gathering, assessing and troubleshooting of application failure root cause.
Develops technologies, processes, services supporting connectivity and technical environments.
Works with Integration Team to develop processes and procedures designed to improve and maximize support and interaction between analysts and Integration Team.
Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with others, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.
Mentors less experienced analysts in use of tools, techniques, and analysis skills. Works with technical teams including analysts, command support center staff and service desk staff on trouble shooting processes, monitoring and triage.
Perform rotational on-call responsibilities.
Competently supports the technical, operational, and application needs for a highly complex application or several moderately complex applications from end-to-end.
Applies knowledge of technical and business side skills.
Applies knowledge of the requirements for the Applications Analyst position.
Able to utilize monitoring tools to evaluate general health of applications from end-to-end.
Applies knowledge in technical documentation of application system installations, diagnostic support, triage and complex system flows.
Applies knowledge of development of multifaceted testing plans and processes for complex systems.
Applies knowledge of intricate application interface processes, tools and monitoring systems.
Applies knowledge of technical infrastructures, hardware and network environments.
The position requires 20% travel.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
The position also requires four (4) years of experience with each of the following:
Oracle's Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Suite.
Oracle's Planning and Budgeting application.
ETL design and development (Informatica or Oracle Data Integrator).
Oracle's Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management (HPCM) application.
Star schemas / dimensional modeling.
Configuring and maintaining user security.
Additionally, the position requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following:
Oracle's Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application.
Essbase (ASO & BSO) cube analysis, design and maintenance.
Essbase database administration, upgrades, performance tuning and optimization.
Oracle or MS SQL Server databases.
Windows and Unix Operating Systems.
Installation, configuration, upgrade and deployment of Hyperion and OBIEE (including HFM, HPCM, Planning, Essbase, Smartview, Financial Reporting, EPMA, DRM, FDM, etc.).
Oracle's Data Relationship Management (DRM), Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA), and Financial Data Quality Management (FDM).
Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
The position requires travel 20% of the time.
