Providence is calling an Executive Director, Analytic Services to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Executive Director, Analytic Services to be a key member of the leadership team that enables our business leaders to make decisions and optimize the performance of their organizations through the delivery of analysis, dashboards, reports, and insights. S/he leads efforts to develop and refresh the business intelligence strategic roadmap, understands the company’s strategic direction, collects information requirements, develops implementation strategies and manages the continuous improvement of the company's analytics and business intelligence capabilities. Provides leadership to foster data‐driven, strategic decision‐making within the enterprise to ensure that program activities are strongly aligned with organizational goals and objectives, and that the organization executes in alignment with the strategy in the face of multiple competing priorities. Provide exceptional leadership to the Healthcare Intelligence, including building a successful analytics and cognitive services teams, developing strategic partnerships, and influencing PSJH highly matrix organizational structure to represent data and analytics interests. Leads team to apply sound data science, sophisticated data analysis, and program evaluation practices to derive actionable insights that support operational efficiency and health care quality improvement.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Sets key strategic objectives and direction for the departments, in conjunction with our customers and other leaders in Healthcare Intelligence.

  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to manage priorities on data initiatives. Lead the development, preparation, and distribution of the organization’s enterprise‐wide reporting portfolio.

  • In partnership with client services Exec Director, assist in the identification of value enabling analytic project tasks and scope (resources, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies) in partnership with internal and external clients and ensure alignment to strategic and department level initiatives.

  • Drive enterprise wide transformation and process standardization, execution, and improvement for all analytic work products.

  • Build, maintain, and govern analytics for business partners ‐ this may be aligned to a specific market or for business partners directly.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field.

  • 10 years of Progressive leadership experience in healthcare reporting, analytics in integrated payer or provider organizations

  • Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents

  • Ability to lead/manage others

  • Ability to inspire and develop staff

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Ability to represent the company with external constituents

  • Capable of working across organization and managing cross‐functional working groups and virtual teams

  • Experience leading a P&L with financial responsibilities and providing leadership for all functional services areas including experience handling customer escalations

  • Knowledge of enterprise dashboard and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects.) and Big Data Technologies.

  • Knowledge of Epic reporting and analytic solutions. Understanding of Healthcare Intelligence products and services portfolio.

  • Sets aggressive goals and is accountable for continuously driving improved outcomes, leading change and ensuring highest quality work product

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field.
