Providence Health & Services Epic Revenue Cycle Business Informatics Support Specialist in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Business Informatics Support Specialist to Providence Health & Services in either Renton, WA or Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Business Informatics Support Specialist to be responsible for managing the Business Informatics Support program including managing projects and initiatives that require Epic application knowledge and expertise as well as business workflows and processes in a clinical environment. serving as a cross-functional system liaison to ensure standardization of the Epic tool. Identify, document and monitor workflows to achieve performance of intended outcomes. Collaborate within the governance structure to prioritize and operationalize standard optimization and strategic efforts in support One Revenue Cycle (ORC) and Community Connect.
In this position you will:
Provide Epic Access and Revenue Cycle Applications knowledge and expertise to help accept and stabilize the Epic solution from an operational perspective, upon the go-live at each Community Connect facility.
Understand and refine the prescribed work flows, policies and procedures, as well as become familiar with the functional workings of the Epic software.
Work closely with Epic Analysts to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues that prevent the accurate and efficient processing of business transactions using the Epic solution.
Provide implementation planning, testing, communication, and at the elbow training of computer systems.
Work closely with Business Informatics leaders to ensure strategic alignment in translation of standard business requirements.
Partner with cross-disciplinary teams to understand current state processes and systems and support design of future state, ensuring a clear and detailed strategic plan of implementation to transform access (ORC & Community Connect) operations seamlessly, using Epic applications.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, healthcare or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, operations or technology.
Previous Epic experience.
Expert knowledge of all aspects of specific business area including business processes and integrated applications leading to effective optimization of Epic and strategic initiatives.
Ability to identify key business processes to validate and or re-engineer for optimum integration with Epic Access modules. Understanding of the technical aspects of applications and integrated tools used to complete the business cycle. Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills.
Proven ability to apply business analysis tools and plan and manage actions in response to changing business needs.
Broad understanding of computer applications, information management and technology.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all information, including financial/operational, employee/human resource, healthcare/patient data.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work with limited direct supervision.
Ability to travel to a variety of work sites/settings. Travel outside the state may be required.
Proven skills in communicating with technical staff, and customers.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge in scheduling, admissions, insurance verification/authorization, health information management, charging, billing, cash posting and follow-up.
Current Epic certification.
Epic Revenue Cycle experience, especially HIM and HB Resolute Billing
