Providence is calling a Director, Master Data Management and Reference Data to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Director, Master Data Management and Reference Data to elevate Providence St Joseph Health Data assets to support system strategic priorities. The Director leads design, documentation and implementation of Enterprise Master Data Management and Reference Data.
This position supports Enterprise Data Governance and Healthcare Intelligence by expanding governed data assets resulting in streamline deployment, reducing variation and elevating quality for strategic programs and operations across the PSJH. Director will partner at both at the department and functional levels, to define, prioritize, document and implement Master and Reference Data. Partnering with Client/Analytics Services and Information Management teams in Healthcare Intelligence to ensure Service catalogs, master data for patient, provider and payor hierarchies, item and charge masters are applied across all solutions is an essential accountability.
The Master Data Management and Reference Data Director is responsible for design of Master Data Management and Reference Data across the organization. This includes
integrating Enterprise Golden Records, Source of Truth, Hierarchies, Data standards and mappings to reduce and avoid silo’s resulting in simplified data flow for efficient enterprise solutions.
Director is a key leader in defining a data culture that aligns with and further enables Healthcare Intelligence growth and quality. This position requires strong business acumen and technical skills that, in combination, ensures development of well‐balanced processes and solutions that deliver material organizational value.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Articulate and gain buy‐in to leadership, partners and HI the benefits and need for Data Governance and Data Quality.
Serve as an advocate and change agent, and persuade and influence courageously at all levels of the organization.
Serve as liaison between business and functional areas and Healthcare Intelligence to ensure that MDM related business requirements are clearly prioritized, defined, documented, communicated and deployed.
Evaluate business requests for new or expanding data assets and facilitate process to proactively seek options to ensure alignment with enterprise data and analytics strategy.
Ensure that all programs are managed within the company's delivery framework and utilize company data governance program management methodologies and tools.
Develop and oversees ongoing Master Data and Reference Data Governance & Administration for both operational and analytical needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent educ/experience.
10 year progressive experience managing complex IT programs and/or projects required including Data Governance and Master Data Management implementations.
3 years Extensive experience with designing and implementing MDM.
Demonstrated ability to effectively produce business results, while working under time pressures.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills is required.
Sets aggressive goals and is accountable for continuously driving improved outcomes, leading change and ensuring highest quality work product.
Highly‐motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills is required.
Project Management skills‐ability to manage complex data oriented programs to deliver on‐time results and recommendations for action/next steps.
Capable of working across organization and managing cross‐functional working groups and virtual teams.
A proven track record of working with Senior and C‐level executives.
Strong understanding of operational data concepts and their usage.
Strong experience with data and information architecture: dimensional data modeling & schema design in Data Warehouses, service design, development & implementation for ingestion and consumption.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree.
