Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Director Finance PSJH to our location in Seattle, WA.
Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), a $25B health system, is seeking a motivated, mission focused, results-driven and enthusiastic Director with deep analytical and business insights expertise, demonstrated Executive Presence and a keen desire to play an integral role driving financial impact across the organization. Shared Services includes $1B in revenue $5B in operating expense and covers Information Services, Human Resources, Real Estate, Revenue Cycle, Internal Compliance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Population Health, Clinical Care and Personalized Health, Strategy, Innovation and Executive Council. This position will work closely with CFO of Shared Services to create direction for financial strategy, forecasting and budgeting for System Shared Services. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to work through ambiguity, proactively solve problems, and drive data-driven insights to inform decision making and resource allocation. The role will report to the CFO Shared Services and manage a team of 5 finance professionals.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Take a lead role to drive standardization and streamlining of reporting, forecasting and budgeting across Shared Services
Drive alignment and efficiencies across finance and operations
Increase collaboration between the system finance and executive leadership teams
Help design and implement self-service business intelligence capabilities (i.e. Power BI views) for the organization around financial and operating performance and drivers.
Help attract, train, and retain a Shared Services finance team
Contribute to the creation of FP&A best practices for planning, forecasting, and analytics.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
8 years in a leadership role or capacity.
10 years of progressive responsibility in financial planning, business and financial analytics, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills with a keen ability to distill complex analysis into impactful yet simple and concise stories
Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, and creating effective business partnerships
Ability to "think outside the box" and not be hindered by how things have been done in the past.
A sense of humor and ability to bring enthusiasm and optimism to complex business and performance discussions an added bonus.
Intellectual curiosity to learn when faced with unfamiliar concepts and business areas.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Public Accountant.
Other certifications such as HFMA or FACHE..
