Providence is calling a Director, Enterprise Performance – PSJH to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Director, Enterprise Performance to provide excellence in enterprise application planning, implementation and support for Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) and affiliated organizations. Responsibilities include Strategy development and deployment,Resource planning and utilization, Management of operational support initiatives, Vendor management, Application design reviews, Implementation management, Administrative support of IS application solutions. This position will be accountable for the support of functional business partners and executives, identification and assessment of technical road maps and requirements, sponsorship of implementation activities, production support of assigned applications, support of and maximization of application usefulness, effective management of vendor relationships.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and develop managers as well as other staff.

  • Work in close collaboration with executives, directors, managers and other leaders and staff across the system.

  • Create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues involving business and information services operations and support. It will also work to standardize complex and separate processes and methodologies related to application management such as design, deployment, support and life cycle.

  • Maintain relationships with key business partners and other senior leaders in the IT industry in order to leverage best practices, evaluate and manage emerging application technologies.

  • Direct adoption process for introducing and implementing new services, technologies and/or applications into Information Services.

  • Implement appropriate service delivery models for core application functions in defining, delivering, and improving services for the enterprise and its customers.

  • Work with leaders of IS Strategy and Business Development in ensuring adherence to standards, and continuously evaluating the effectiveness of application systems.

  • Ensure that the Applications division supports IS services and systems effectively and meets the needs of the business.

  • Participates in the development of the overall IS strategic plan by identifying needed application management strategies and projects that support business needs.

  • Manage customer expectations regarding the success of each Information Services strategies and projects; ensure measurable outcomes are defined and reported for each strategy or project.

  • Partner with key stakeholders and customers to implement application services for strategic initiatives that are effective, user-friendly and accurate.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services or equivalent education/experience

  • Eight years experience Information Services leadership experience

  • Five years cumulative large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (EPM – Infor / Lawson, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or Siebel) applications (can be design, and/or implementation and/or upgrade experience), to include at least a minimum of 5 years as an EPM project manager or solution architect.

  • EPM experience must include the following areas of demonstrated competency/expertise:

  • Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Suite

  • ETL design and development (Informatica or ODI)

  • Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management (HPCM) application

  • Hyperion Planning and Budgeting

  • Hyperion Financial Management

  • Oracle Data Relationship Management (DRM) and Financial Data Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) and EPMA

  • Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

  • Strong experience with Essbase (ASO & BSO) cube analysis, design and maintenance

  • Strong experience with Essbase database administration, upgrades, performance tuning and optimization

  • Strong experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server databases

  • Strong experience with star schemas / dimensional modeling

  • Strong experience with performance optimization

  • Enterprise Close & Consolidations (HFM)

  • Enterprise Planning & Budgeting (PBCS)

  • Enterprise Costing (DSS Insights)

  • Master Data Management (Clinical DRGs, COA)

  • EPM Development and Integrations

  • EPM End User Support and Operations

  • Extensive System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience for business transformation initiatives

  • Extensive understanding of datawarehousing and dimensional modeling

  • Must be action oriented and possess superior judgment, critical thinking, problem solving and cognitive skills.

  • Ability to comprehend customer business needs with respect to support of and impact to PH&S organizational objectives, mission, and core values.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and information needs across functional programs, facilities and regions as well as organize short-term and long-term responsibilities in response to changing demands.

  • Respected leadership skills, particularly in the areas of application life-cycle management with detailed knowledge regarding core vendor strategies.

  • Extensive experience planning, designing, implementing, deploying and supporting large scale EPM implementations (Infor / Lawson, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP)

  • Eperience issuing or responding to RFIs and RFPs

  • Experience with EPM assessments including vendor and software selection experience

  • Deep enterprise performance management business process knowledge including master data management, financial costing, planning and budgeting

  • Strong experience in warehouse and distribution management

  • Experience in financial performance management

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Information Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related IS or healthcare field or equivalent education/experience

  • Healthcare knowledge and experience
