We are seeking a Senior Service Engineer PSJH who will be a key Storage Engineer within our OnPrem Hosting environment.

As such, the Senior Storage Engineer will support end to end management of storage Infrastructure consisting of various EMC enterprise arrays, Brocade switches, Isilon and NetApp clusters and NetApp CVO in Azure. Day-to-day actives include standard storage administration tasks of allocating/de-allocating storage, replication, fabric zoning, storage migrations, troubleshooting, creating/reviewing/implementing Change Requests, code upgrades, working with vendors, interacting with end users, break/fix activities, automation, documentation, and other tasks as needed. They will work on stay current activities to keep the environment up to date with code upgrades for SAN and NAS. They will need to work on NDM migrations for migrating from VMAX to PMAX.

This role will work in a fast-pace environment, will have constant demands for better services, and will require strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and mentor as we bring in a cutting-edge service management mindset and skills set to the organization.

It requires an engineer that can deal with high degrees of ambiguity and drive clear service improvement plans, while collaborating with the business, and peer IS teams of Program Managers, Software Engineers and Service Engineers.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Advises on caregiver, business, and technical requirements. Uses expertise to design components of a service architecture, and operability and caregiver scenarios that meet compliance standards and KPIs, such as quality, cost, and caregiver expectation.

  • Advises on and incorporates the team's standards and best practices into all designs to create high-performance, manageable services.

  • Contributes to the design of a service delivery system by evaluating and recommending options for tools, hardware, and processes that enable the team to create a complete system that supports service delivery and meets KPIs.

  • Performs advanced troubleshooting and engineers solutions for complex (for example, unexpected or unanticipated) service issues to restore service with minimal disruption to the caregiver and business.

  • Owns the problem, solving it once and for all. Extrapolates from past experiences and delivers innovations.

  • Actively takes part in disaster recovery drills. Participates as needed in incident response management during non-working hours.

  • Uses expertise to contribute to the design of process or technology solutions that identify and resolve platform, system, deployment and environmental issues prior to solutionion release, and that ensure an on-time release with predictable high-quality results.

  • Triages problems and uses problem management tools (such as root cause analysis, trend analysis, and postmortems) to discover and drive solutions across the service team.

  • Defines and collects metrics (such as service availability data, performance measures, system health, and long-term trends) to support service intelligence analysis.

  • Analyzes and tracks operational cost data and reports trends, budget risk, and variance against the projected cost model to the business.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.

  • 5 years IT technical experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's, degree in one of the following disciplines:
