Providence is calling a Senior Principal Data Manager PSJH to our location in Redmond, WA .
We are seeking a Senior Principal Data Manager PSJH that is a key Data Management role for the Administrative Technologies vertical at PSJH. As such, it will have data management scope for Management Reporting across business domains that fall within Administrative Technologies, like: Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and other non-clinical shared services. The scope is both broad, across a business unit and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to run and maintain an enterprise wide IS service. This role is both enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this IS division from the ground floor. This role will work in a fast paced environment, have constant demands for better services, and will require strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting edge mindset and skillset to the organization. It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity and drive clear tactical implantation plans, while bringing the business, fellow IS organizations and the team to success.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Partner with business on needs and understands organizational structure and goals, business processes, or business model to identify opportunities and/or enhance the user/data partner/peer relationship. Use expertise to deliver positive experience and builds strong relationships with customers/partners/clients
Apply Data management and solution techniques for data audit planning, risk and data issue management, and provides status reporting. Perform proactive investigation of why problems occurred and what changes need to be implemented in order to improve quality. Analyze the impact of quality issues and drives solutions to improve quality. Identify and resolve planning, design, process, and product or portfolio defects that affect his or her solutions and uses expertise to discuss with business partners in a manner that builds clarity and confidence
Develop systems to monitor risks and dependencies and report changes. Use expertise to work effectively across disciplines and organizational boundaries to gain timely closure on decisions that impact own project/solution/portfolio. Applies creative solutions to meet project objectives
Understand technical depth to sufficiently speak for the solution and user perspective with the ability to dive deep into technical details, and communicate technical details to non technical audience. Use expertise in SQL, cloud technologies as needed and keeps up to date on future market trend
Use expertise in User Support techniques such as support planning, issue and escalation management, CSAT and related status reporting
Apply expertise in user and project communications, including communications across internal teams and groups, and presenting and engaging with executive IT and Business leaders at enterprise scale and complexity
Perform analysis of business needs and contributes to solution design. Apply skillset across small and medium sized projects, removing ambiguity, negotiating trade offs, and leading project to an optimal design
Assist manager in building a cutting-edge data management team and function in both mindset, skillset and technical depth that differentiates PSJH from the industry.
Actively build data management practices and relationships that enable the business teams to focus on driving their business and IS to run IS services
Foster high team performance and high data quality and user experience in our technical solutions
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related disciplines:
Management Information Systems
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrated analytical skills and data-driven approach
Effective written communication skills as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree, Professional or equivalent experience.
9 years Data and/or Product Management experience with direct Production data responsibility at Enterprise level.
Demonstrated skills leading large scale efforts in the release and management of solutions, related roadmaps & functional specifications, UAT, Customer support, launching new products, conducting customer research, and facilitating and executing user testing and automated data auditing at enteprise scale.
Excellent organizational, presentation, and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions at all levels of an organization and to represent Providence externally as needed.
7 - 9 years with SQL, Cloud, Visual Studio, Power BI, PowerPoint, ADO or other tools
Proven experience in Data Management and User Support teams, with proven ability to work hands on and to grow others in required knowledge and skills
