Providence Health & Services Women's Health Triage RN in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a RN - Phone Triage / Advice to Providence Professional Plaza in Portland, OR. This clinic is an OB and Midwife practice in which we support across various spectrums of Women's Health
In this position, you will:
Apply knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of care via the telephone.
Deliver care in the form of triage, advice, referral, and patient education in the ambulatory care setting.
Have an enhanced level of expertise in the assessment of patient needs, determination of level of care, and implementation of plan appropriate to the situation.
Be expected to work closely with physicians and all other members of the health system staff, requiring excellent communication, teaching, and negotiating skills with a high expectation of total confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
Coordinate and manage clinical activities, including workflow in the area by distributing workload assignments, based on patient schedules and phone demands.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Graduate from accredited school of Nursing
Current Oregon state license as a registered nurse (RN) in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
5 years of experience in healthcare, one of which within an ambulatory healthcare setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or related field
1 year of experience in clinical triage/advice
Bilingual in Spanish
