Providence is calling a Surgical Services Information Site Analyst - Surgical Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR

We are seeking a Surgical Services Information Site Analyst - Surgical Services who will manage and coordinate the daily operations and maintenance of the Surgical Services Information Systems at a specific facility. Analyzes user requirements, helps to plan, develop, and implement information systems for moderately complex processes

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design and program site-specific financial or operational reports

  • Maintain the patient charging database and assists the Surgical Services Business Manager with updating the database with new items, supplies and charges

  • Play a key role in establishing strategy's for design and construction information system infrastructure

  • Assist in the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of Surgical Services information systems

  • Maintain surgery info systems database, including but not limited to McKesson products and ORTracker

  • Assist in the design, review and revision of perioperative records to facilitate necessary data collection.r

  • Provide development and maintenance of Surgical Services information systems policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Five (5) years of experience in Surgery Information Systems

  • Demonstrated experience in effective decision and problem solving skills and strong organizational skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Medical Information Systems, or Information Systems Management.

  • Training in multiple language programming, Crystal Reports and other reporting tools

  • Experience in working with various computer operating systems, databases, websites, hardware and software programs.

  • Experience with facilitating teams and staff training/education.

  • Experience with Crystal Report Writer and SQL queries, and analyzes data using MS Excel- Pivot Tables.

  • Demonstrated experience in effective decision and problem solving skills and strong organizational skills.
