Providence Health & Services RN - Phone Triage / Advice in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a RN - Phone Triage / Advice to Providence Professional Plaza in Portland, OR. This clinic is an OB and Midwife practice in which we support across various spectrums of Women's Health.
In this position, you will:
Apply the knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of care via thetelephone.
Deliver care in the form of triage, advice,referral, and patient education in the ambulatory care setting.
Utilize an enhanced level of expertise in the assessment of patient needs, determinationof level of care, and implementation of plan appropriate to the situation.
Be expected to work closely with physicians and all othermembers of the health system staff, requiring excellent communication, teaching,and negotiating skills with a high expectation of total confidentiality whenworking with sensitive information.
Coordinate and manage clinicalactivities. This can include workflow in the area by distributing workloadassignments, based on patient schedules and phone demands.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from accredited school of nursing
Associates degree in nursing (ADN)
Current Oregon state license as a registered nurse (RN) in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
5 years of experience in healthcare, 1 of which within an ambulatory healthcare setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or related field
1 year of experience in clinical triage/advice
Bilingual in Spanish
