Providence Health & Services RN Coordinator - Vad/Transplant in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Coordinator- Vad/Transplant (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide coordination and case management for ventricular assist devices (VAD) and cardiac transplant patients in collaboration with the program medical director and referring physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Be responsible for clinical and technical support for ventricular assist devices or cardiac transplant patients regarding evaluation, implant management, post follow-up and clinical training.
Effectively use care conferencing and multidisciplinary transplant/VAD committee for patient evaluations and clinical reviews.
Facilitate patient care within an outpatient clinic and share 24 hour call.
Coordinate patient care through medical procedures, ongoing education, inpatient and outpatient care delivery and follow-up.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Advanced Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN) with ventricular assist devices (VAD) coordinator experience
Current license to practice nursing in State of Oregon
If Nurse Practitioner (NP), current prescriptive privileges with State of Oregon, including Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACLS/CPR) certification
Valid driver’s license
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 3 years of clinical experience with VAD patient care
