Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Clinical Staff Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days to Providence Medical Group Glisan Street Clinic in Portland , OR.

Clinical Staff Supervisors are RN leaders who make a big impact on the quality of patient care under ever-changing healthcare demands. The CSS is an innovative answer to the primary care shortage. Manage your own panel of patients, collaborate with providers to provide safe, timely, high-quality care, and coach and mentor your clinic colleagues in this role.
We are seeking a CSS to be responsible for defining and delivering clinical workflows across clinical and non-clinical staff that will have a broad impact on patient access and continuity of care. You’ll work autonomously and our clinical staff will look to you for development, while focusing on initiatives to support our patients’ long-term health needs to prevent hospitalization and other health concerns. As the CSS, you have a broad understanding of the organizations, systems and workflows that are relevant to your area of focus. Your job is to innovate, evolve, improve, and streamline patient care. While a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, we welcome experienced RN’s who are looking to grow in their leadership career and are passionate about ambulatory care.
In this position, you will:
Coordinate and manage the clinical support staff and the clinical workflows and activities within the clinic.
Function as a integral member of the clinic leadership team, bringing the professional nursing perspective to the group and upholding the standards of nursing practice.
Oversee the care provided by clinical support staff and initiates efforts to improve the quality and skill levels of the clinical staff members. Leads clinical staff to ensure that patient care services are provided in an efficient, safe, and timely manner that is sensitive to the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
Ensure compliance with established clinic policies and procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS required at time of hire. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care Provider certification required within 6 months of hire
3-5 years direct patient care
1-3 years in a supervisory position
Clinical experience in triage principles of patient assessment
Experience in delegation of nursing responsibilities to licensed and unlicensed personnel within the medical office setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
BSN or advanced degree in Nursing or related field
Patient Care and Supervisory experience in an ambulatory setting
