We are seeking a Senior Pharmacy Business Analyst - Home Services Specialty Pharmacy that will work independently with all levels of Core Leaders (System, Region, Service Area and Ministry) utilizing his/her advanced subject matter expertise in analytics and analytical skills to design advance data sources, design challenging visualizations, use advanced contemporary data science techniques, provide ongoing training, and facilitate multiple projects.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Design and maintain scalable databases, dashboards and reporting infrastructure to support the department's reporting needs
Author analytic report and reporting tools that leverage Enterprise Data Warehouse databases, health plan eligibility data and department spreadsheets to enable data-driven decision making
Facilitate the efficient use of data and technology for both department and division-based projects and activities
Prepare and present monthly exhibits to communicate current metrics to actual performance. Collaborates with leadership to respond to data related inquiries
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Bio-informatics, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Management Information Services, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, or related field.
Four (4) years Expert business analytics experience analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, displaying, and/or presenting data
Four (4) years Design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of reporting solutions, utilizing industry best practices and tools (such as Oracle, SQL and Access)
Proficiency with database structures, relational databases, data definitions, and developing relational database solutions for analysis and reporting.
Proficiency with SQL/Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient at extracting and manipulating data
Proficient with Business Intelligence and reporting tools
Proficiency with presenting findings/reports/tools to customers clearly and concisely so that complex material is easy to grasp
Proficiency with complex trouble-shooting and problem-solving, including root-cause analysis on issues and driving to resolution
Proficiency with communicating effectively in writing and verbally, and in 1:1 and group meetings, especially to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
Able to work with financial information that may be sensitive or confidential in a professional and respectful manner
Proficiency with creating functional requirements and/or technical specifications documentation
Proficiency with establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with colleagues, business partners, and with business process managers
Proficiency with helping colleagues improve their own skills in frequently used software, tools, methodologies or techniques (i.e. coach/mentor/train others in improving their data visualization or dashboard layout skills)
Proficiency with independently acquiring knowledge through research or self-training when needed for effective implementation, including ability to quickly learn new software programs or analytical tools
Proficiency with prioritizing and managing work assignments across multiple complex projects and in a deadline-oriented environment
Proficiency with providing excellent customer service
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
EPIC EMR Reporting Certification/Accreditation Programs: EPIC Willow Clinical Data Model Track (SQLI, SQLII, Cogito 170, Clarity 110, Caboodle 110V, Cogito 230, Cogito 240), within 9 months of hire
Other EPIC EMR Certifications, as applicable to business needs
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Master's Degree OR Coursework/Training in Process/workflow improvement training
Two (2) years Analysis or research related to health services, healthcare utilization, or in a quality assessment environment
Two (2) years Consolidating disparate data sources into cohesive analytic datasets/solutions
One (1) year Design, execution and evaluation of test plans experience.
One (1) year Medical Claims Data or Clinical Reporting (especially for measuring cost, utilization, or quality of care) experience
Two (2) years SQL coding experience
One (1) year EPIC/EPIC Willow Experience
Expert level in Excel (MS Excel or similar)
Proficiency with analytical tools and techniques used to investigate data trends, issues, and to make conclusions with data
Expert level in analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, displaying, and/or presenting data
Proficiency with identifying and developing process workflows needed, and assisting efforts to improve existing process workflows
Proficiency with understanding key business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in them, and developing solutions to support improvements
Proficiency with independently exercising sound judgment, effectively problem solving, and attending to detail
Proficiency with managing efforts related to improving in-house processes and/or systems (including data systems), with preparation, coordination and assessment of the work plan
