Providence Health & Services Rehabilitation Therapy Aide in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Therapy Aide - Physical Therapy (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Aide - Physical Therapy who will assist therapists and therapist assistants with therapy treatments. Perform general department maintenance and maintains inventory of department equipment, linen and supplies. Work with multi-disciplinary team. Must be willing to work in a variety of settings. May perform office/clerical duties and assist others in the rehabilitation services department as needed.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assist therapists and therapist assistants with therapy treatments:
Monitor patient reaction to therapy and reports significant changes or developments to therapist
Transport / escort patients to treatment/hospital rooms as needed
Assist in transferring patients between different surfaces as needed
Assist in general department maintenance by performing light housekeeping tasks on a frequent basis:
Change linen in patient treatment areas per department procedure.
Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and supplies per department procedures
Order, stock, and perform inventory of therapy supplies and maintains inventory of equipment and linen
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Completion of PH&S Rehabilitation Services Department Therapy Aide training program within three (3) months of employment
American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) within three (3) months of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Some college coursework
Training in Windows based software programs or equivalent education/experience
Experience as a Therapy Aide
