Providence Health & Services Registered Respiratory Therapist in Portland, Oregon
Providence is looking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist that perform Respiratory Care Services in accordance with departmental standards, policies and protocols and perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Completes patient care in support of departmental policies, procedures and protocols, provides appropriate, relevant report to the next shift and counseling with physicians and nursing staff including all age related issues.
Determines appropriate type of therapy for specific disease states.
Obtains arterial blood samples, performs bedside spirometry tests, performs oxygen saturation testing, and completes ECG testing as assigned.
Completes various mechanical life support, Bi-PAP (mask fitting and titration) procedures and pulmonary bronchial hygiene techniques.
Required qualification in this position include:
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy -or- equivalent
Licensed by the Oregon Respiratory Therapist Licensing Board as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months from date of employment for all staff working with the adult and pediatric acute care patient population.
