Providence is calling a Regional Director of Ambulatory Operations in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Regional Director of Ambulatory Operations who will provide strategic leadership, financial management and vision necessary for a highly diverse range of Ambulatory programs to ensure effective growth, financial strength and operational efficiency. This position is directly accountable for: Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Medicine program; the Workplace Health Services program; Outpatient Diabetes Services; Medical Weight Management, Health Education Services; Fitness Services, support for the Regional Retail Pharmacy program, and Ambulatory Product Management. In addition, it provides strategic leadership for growth of Ambulatory services in new Health Center development and Outreach Markets including joint venture development
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide direction and leadership for the development of short and long-term strategic initiatives for growth and cost-effective operations of accountable Ambulatory programs
Provide direction and leadership of Ambulatory Productivity Council to ensure program compliance with productivity targets and action plans.
In support of the Chief Executive for Ambulatory Services, participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of the strategic business plan of Ambulatory and product development.
Evaluate performance improvement opportunities and works with program leadership to direct tactical corrections
With the Chief Executive, establish success indicators and objectives consistent with PH&S Oregon Region objectives and develops operating budgets in accordance. Responsible for the development and tracking of the strategic and operational dashboards for Ambulatory Services. Work closely with Ambulatory programs to monitor progress and reprioritize as necessary.
Evaluate new growth opportunities for the operational programs including facility planning, technology and information system needs, and capital planning in accordance with regional policies and procedures, including Ambulatory growth into Outreach markets
Chair Health Center Campus Operations Council designed to create collaborative environment on the health center campuses. Act as liaison between all Providence, joint venture, and non-Providence tenants to enhance the delivery and coordination of clinical and non-clinical services on campus.
Coordinate integration efforts of all accountable regional Ambulatory programs to maximize existing clinical operations, create greater commonality across the state, utilize clinical expertise and resources to enhance all service lines, and to continually grow service lines around community need. Work closely with all key stakeholders across all divisions and entities
Work with managers, directors, and physicians to assist with development of annual quality plans for accountable programs.
Maintain strong collaborative relationship with employed physicians and medical directors to ensure achievement of common operating and strategic objectives. Monitor physician satisfaction on an annual basis.
Provide direction and support to leaders in the delivery of services, including recruiting and selection of key leaders, developing and growing the leaders and evaluating performance.
Continually enhance professional growth and leadership skills through system-based leadership programs, community opportunities, and self-study. Serve as a mentor for the management team's growth and development. Ensure continued development of management team around mission leadership.
