Providence Health & Services Provider Data Specialist in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling a Provider Data Specialist to Providence Health Plan in Portland, OR.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Data entry and maintenance

  • Reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses

  • Develop and maintain standards for data integrity and quality assurance

  • Coordinate corrective activities to clean data and manage communication processes with other departments regarding data improvements

  • Conduct audits and provide feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance

  • Maintain current provider data to ensure the quality of the network

  • Responsible for representing the provider network area on projects, reporting and tracking provider changes, or for the support, coordination, and production of the directory

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience.

  • 5 years experience in the healthcare industry and/or data entry.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple projects in both a timely and quality manner.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Provider data directory experience.

  • Basic knowledge of NCQA, CMS and State standards related to Provider Data Integrity.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with MS Office including Access or other database equivalent.

  • Experience working with healthcare providers.

  • Customer service experience.
