Providence Project Coordinator - Oncology in Portland, Oregon

Providence is calling a Project Coordinator - Oncology/Hematology (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR
We are seeking a Project Coordinator - Eastside Oncology Hematology that will be responsible for project management of complex projects and designated Providence Cancer Institute (PCI) business processes. Coordinates projects at multiple sites for the Director of Clinical Operations, PCI Clinic managers and staff. Complexity is defined by number of sites, affected staff, duration, creation and maintenance and required computer technologies. Facilitates and supports multi-departmental and departmentally specific projects, the scope of which includes development of materials related to projects and work plans, as well as development of computer activities in support of projects. Researches problems and policy applications for opportunities for business and quality improvements. Provides direct project coordination and administrative support to the Director of Clinical Operations, Executive Medical Directors and clinic managers and their departments for all Oregon sites and for region-wide projects.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Utilize project management skills to ensure that all PCI construction, capital projects and ongoing facility maintenance are completed timely and on budget
Be responsible for provider recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, including coordinating with PCI Executive Medical Directors, candidates and Providence Recruitment Teams
Be responsible for understanding how databases like Anodyne, myHIway and Power BI function in order to create and pull and distribute reporting
Will work with PCI teams to build reports as appropriate
Function as a member of the Management Support Team promoting working relationships within the team and throughout PCI
Provide support to other individuals on the team daily to meet department objectives
Provide administrative support to all PCI departments
Support includes processing of check requests, processing invoices and coordinating travel
Research and recommend solutions to business and quality problems and policies including troubleshooting and provision of information on technical, operational and software processes
Complete data collection, data entry, statistical reporting and general correspondence in support of department programs, Joint Commission, and Service Excellence activities
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or a medical administrative field
Five (5) years of experience as an administrative assistant or project coordinator
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Three (3) years of experience in a health care environment
