Providence Physical Plant Manager in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Physical Plant Manager - Facility Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
This is a day shift, Monday - Friday position, however, 24/7 on call phone availability is required.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction and supervision of staff and activities for the Physical Plant department.
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and employees.
Develop and maintain department objectives and quality standards.
Maintain a safe, collaborative and positive work environment for staff.
Manage the department’s operations and capital budgets.
Comply with all regulatory requirements and standards.
Lead the department response to emergency events.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering -OR- a related field -OR- equivalent education/experience
Five (5) years of experience which includes the following areas:
Management/supervisory experience in plant operations, maintenance and project management in large institutional facilities with history of progressive responsibility
Safety programs related to maintenance and plant operations or similar environments
Multi-million dollar operations budgets
Fire Safety programs
Emergency response processes
Power quality management
Large scale ($1,000,000 ) repair and replacement projects
Maintenance and construction services contracts
Energy efficiency and utility resources
Quality improvement processes
Joint Commission and Center for Medicare Services (CMS) compliance and survey processes
Apprenticeship & training programs for maintenance and plant operations
Experience using personal computer with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and automated maintenance management programs
