Providence Health & Services Medical Dosimetrist in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Medical Dosimetrist (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Perform isodose treatment planning by means of computer and/or manual computation to determine the optimal treatment technique that delivers a prescribed radiation dose to each of your patients.
Work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist in planning the radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution to achieve the desired clinical goals.
Interface with information services and demonstrate a clear understanding and knowledge of computer applications and systems related to Radiation Therapy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor degree in physical science or equivalent AND be a Graduate of a medical dosimetry program with 2 years of clinical practice - OR -
Bachelor’s degree in physical science or equivalent AND have On-The-Job training in a medical dosimetry program under the supervision of a certified medical dosimetrist, radiation physicist and radiation oncologist AND 3 years of clinical experience, - OR -
CMD holders received prior to 2011 may substitute ARRT registry for a Bachelor's degree per the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board)
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)
Experience with Philips Pinnacle treatment planning system and Elekta Mosaiq system
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience with RayStation treatment planning system
