Providence is calling a Mammography Technologist (0.7 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR. The work schedule is 3 10 hour shifts, Monday-Wednesday day shift, with the potential to help out with other shifts if needed.

  • Perform mammography examinations according to physicians‘ orders, utilizing avariety of sophisticated mammography equipment, taking into account individualpatient‘s special or age-related needs.

  • Utilize knowledge and judgement inregard to imaging factors, imaging technique, and patient treatment needed toproduce optimal images.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current certification by the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)

  • Current ARRT certification in Mammography upon hire -or- within 6 months of employment

  • Current Oregon Licensure as an Registered Technologist, Radiography (RTR)

  • CurrentAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

  • Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images

  • Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire

  • Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
