Description
The Director of Clinical Research - Budgeting provides strategic guidance for the development and evolution of clinical trial budgets throughout PSJH. The position will interface with research finance to drive cost transparency and establish a standardized process for clinical trial cost and budget development, with a cost neutral to revenue positive performance for clinical trials. This position will identify opportunities for innovative budgeting tools to streamline negotiations and reduce variability, and improve budget negotiation timelines with sponsors/CROs. This position is virtual and can sit within any location in the Providence footprint ( AK, WA, OR, CA, MT, NM, TX).
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent education/experience
10 or more years Relevant experience with clinical research budgeting in a highly matrixed organization.
5 years Proven experience working collaboratively with researchers, physicians, federal authorities/agencies
5 years Expert knowledge in federal and regulatory requirements around research budgeting.
8 years Leadership experience
5 years Experience working with outside industry in negotiating budgets
