Providence is calling a Credentialed Medical Assistant to Providence Mother Joseph Plaza in Portland, OR.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant with OB
experience and a focus on delivering high quality, compassionate,
patient-centered care. MA's are responsible for chart scrubbing, prepping rooms and procedures, escorting patients, entering all intake data and partnering with the Provider to be sure all aspects of care are safely completed for the patient. We are a big, busy clinic and luck to ahve the support of social workers, OB navigators, Surgery Schedulers and an OB Coordinator.

The schedule will be 10 hour shifts, four days a week and you will match your day off with your Provider.
In this position, you will:
Work closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.
CMA, Certified Medical Assistant, C.M.A.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited medical assistant (MA) program
Credentialing through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant program such as Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Association for Healthcare Professionals (NAHP)
If not currently credentialed, this position will require successfully obtaining Medical Assistant Certification within 60 days from date of hire
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider
Experience in women's health practice
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
6 months of recent experience working as a medical assistant
