Providence Health & Services Clinical Research Coordinator in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Clinical Research Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Be responsible for coordinating and maintaining diverse activities related to clinical cancer research. This includes, but is not limited to: patient eligibility; registration/enrollment; data compilation, abstraction, and submission; study evaluation; quality control; and patient follow-up.

  • Interact closely with institutional investigators, industry sponsors, contract research organizations, National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) research bases, clinic staff, laboratory staff, and pathology staff.

  • Collaborate with fellow clinical research staff throughout the duration of the study to ensure high quality and efficient study conduct.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience

  • Valid driver’s license required at time of hire

  • 2 years research or data entry/registry experience

  • Familiarity with medical and/or scientific terminology

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Certification in clinical research coordination (Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA), Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP))

  • Clinical research experience, oncology clinical research experience

  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs)

  • Epic experience

  • Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations

  • Familiarity with the code of federal regulations governing clinical research
