Providence is calling a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 - Heart Institute Administration (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR
We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 - Heart Institute Administration that will function under the supervision of the Clinical Trials Manager, Team Lead and Principal Investigator. Coordinates and maintains diverse activities in the conduct of clinical research trials related to heart and vascular research. The coordinator establishes good working relationships with principal investigators, monitors, teammates, other departments and clinics to ensure timely study completion. Acts as liaison to Regional Research for budget and regulatory documents, and investigational drug services as needed. Assures protocol adherence, screens and recruits study subjects, obtains informed consent, conducts study visits and phone calls, maintains documentation, study materials and study products. Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of source documents, case report forms and query resolution. Communicates frequently regarding progress of ongoing trials. Coordinates monitor visits. All study related activities will be conducted in compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations- GCP guidelines.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Plan, organize and coordinate research studies by reviewing protocols, reviewing coverage analyses, consents, interviewing potential study subjects and assisting the principal investigator in monitoring the study(ies)
Establish project timetables; manage material resources
Communicate with regulatory and contracts/budget concerning requests made by sponsor, report serious adverse events, provide annual continuing reviews of ongoing studies
Generate periodic reports for physicians and administrators, including numbers of patients screened, reasons for screen failure, number patients enrolled
Monitor study subject progress and record study data in accordance with good clinical practice (GCP) guidelines
Coordinate study monitor visits, prepare necessary documentation and follow-up as appropriate
Keep management apprised of issues requiring action and operational progress in meeting study objectives
Work closely with and provide back up support in the absence of other research coordinators
Position requires moving between clinic and procedure settings as well as desk/computer work
Required qualifications for this position includes:
ACRP or SOCRA certification or equivalent or in process of obtaining at time of hire
Valid driver license
Bachelor's Degree with two (2) years research work experience -OR- Associate's Degree with three (3) years research work experience. -OR- equivalent education/experience
Two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Research professional, supporting all aspects of clinical research
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience with electronic medical records and remote data capture
