Providence is calling a Clinical Research Associate - Orthopedic Program (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park Portland in Portland, OR
We are seeking a Clinical Research Associate - Orthopedic Program that will function under the supervision of the Program Executive, Orthopedic Institute, coordinating and maintaining diverse activities related to orthopedic research. The Clinical Research Associate will participate in study design, IRB and Privacy Board requirements, data collection, analysis, interpretation of results, and presentation.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Develop new research protocols and ensures quality of research methods and results. Includes clarifying research questions, methodology, hypotheses, and variables; instrument selection, development, and presentation
Coordinate research activities with physician investigators and external departments including, but not limited to, IRB, Privacy Board, data acquisition, statistical support
Prepare research abstracts, manuscripts for publication, case report forms, and posters for presentation
Maintain knowledge of current trends in outcomes and population research, health status assessment, and clinical research, including contact with external colleagues, and familiarity with recent biomedical literature
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Master's Degree: with coursework in public health, statistics, research, and three (3) years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree: with coursework in public health, statistics, research, and four (4) years of relevant experience
Professional experience with research methodology, statistics interpretation, and reporting of research results
Experience research related regulatory requirements under 45 CFR.
Experience with CMS and other large national data sets
Proficiency in Excel
