Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts
We are seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist who will assist physicians in the performance of invasive diagnostic cardiovascular testing and treatment.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Receives patient in examination/procedure room, works with cardiovascular nurse to prepare patient for procedure.
Assists physician in scrub position for all cardiovascular procedures.
Monitors and records physiologic pressures. Compiles and calculates pressure data.
Stocks supplies, maintains instruments and equipment. Notifies supervisor in the event of malfunctioning equipment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate Degree graduate of accredited program -or- equivalent educ/experience
RCIS or CV Specialty obtained within 18 months of hire. Effective for those staff hired after 1/1/09.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
