Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 (CHR) - Providence St. Vincent Medical Center & NW Oregon

The Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 CHR (BMET 2 CHR) provides scheduled maintenance, repairs and electrical safety inspections on patient care medical equipment under the general supervision of the Biomedical Services Manager. Work assigned varies in difficulty with some requiring specialized training. This position is based at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, and may service other locations throughout NW Oregon, which may require occasional overnight stays (2-3 per year). This position will also participate in On-Call rotations (1 week on, 5 weeks off). Daily driving is required.
Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology, and 3 years of experience in a healthcare organization with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level;
-OR- Equivalent military training, and 3 years of experience in a healthcare organization with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level;
-OR- Current Providence Biomedical Equipment Technician 1, with current AAMI CBET Certification and 2 years of experience in a healthcare organization with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level.
Driving is necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request .
