Providence Health & Services Associate Medical Director, Palliative Care in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Seeking a board-certified Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician with demonstrated leadership experience to join Providence Connections. As the Associate Medical Director, you'll provide clinical expertise and leadership tointer-professional inpatient palliative care consult service including

physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers and chaplains.

Providence Connections is a palliative care consultation service that

has a team of experts who help patients and their families find needed

resources to control pain and other symptoms while providing compassionate

support. The team of physicians, nurse practitioners, palliative care nurses,

clinical social workers and chaplains work collaboratively around high-risk heart

failure and other conditions with Providence Heart Institute, as well as with

Providence Cancer Center.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

  • Medical License in State of Oregon (MD/DO)

  • Two years of demonstrated supervisory experience

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, or ACLS required within 30 days of hire
