RN Cardiac Device - Heart Clinic Gateway at Oregon Clinical Programs

Shift: Variable 8hr and 10hr day shifts, M-F, No weekends and no major holidays

Provides direct quality care for cardiac patients in an out-patient setting. Provides care according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. May require the RN to be responsible for the assessment, treatment of care of patients including adult and geriatric. RN must be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process. Accepts professional development as an integral part of nursing practice. Coordinates patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship.

Required qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current state of Oregon RN licensure

  • Three (3) years direct patient care, preferably in a cardiac setting

  • One (1) year clinical experience in triage principles of patient assessment

  • Experience in delegation of nursing responsibilities to licensed and unlicensed personnel within the medical office setting

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree -OR- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field

  • Certified Cardiac Device Specialist Certification

  • Three (3) years in an outpatient cardiac device clinic

  • One (1) year experience with EMR systems

  • One (1) year experience with a Device Database

  • Third party vendor interaction
