Providence Health & Services X-Ray Diagnostic Radiology Technologist in Polson, Montana

Providence is calling a X-ray Diagnostic Radiology Technologist (Imaging Services, Day Shift, 0.6 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. In this position you will:

  • Conduct clinical evaluations and testing according to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate accuracy in administration and documentation of all treatments and procedures.

  • Demonstrate the ability to take emergency action as required on patients.

  • Establish, implement and modifiy treatment plans and completes documentation in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

  • Follow age specific directions from physician when administering contrast to patients.

  • Is able to demonstrate appropriate application of age specific guidelines in assessing patients.

  • Perform preparations for daily procedures.

  • Perform X-Ray procedures on patients.

  • Provide and monitor care to determine the appropriate outcomes.

  • Provide appropriate patient care and clinical information for continuing care based on the patient’s needs as needed from time of admission to time of discharge.

  • Provide appropriate patient care and clinical information to other healthcare professionals for continuing care.

  • Use age specific guidelines to explain procedures to patients or family members.

  • Use age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines to perform treatments and procedures that are routine for unit/clinic on patients.

  • Utilize a collaborative interdisciplinary process to provide appropriate patient/family education.

  • Participate in meetings, committees and/or continuing education to improve individual, department and organizational performance.

  • Perform daily QC for bone density studies.

  • Serve as a clinical resource for physicians and other departments.

  • Serve as preceptor or educational resource for new employees and students.

  • Complete quarterly evaluation of students.

  • Document clinical information to support the assessment, treatment, education and continuity among healthcare providers.

  • Obtain, analyze and utilize information to enhance and improve individual and organizational performances in patient care.

  • Serve as a resource person with regard to infection control issues.

  • Provide clear, concise, pertinent patient reports/information.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Education required to receive MSRT

  • Must have Montana State License (MSRT).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.
