Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), a $26B health system, is seeking a mission focused, results-driven and enthusiastic Senior Revenue Finance Manager with deep analytical and business insights expertise to play an integral role driving financial impact across the organization. The System Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is the central hub of PSJH’s enterprise-wide FP&A processes and insights. This role focuses on revenue analysis and business intelligence to thoroughly understand business drivers and collaborate with system and regional executive leadership. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who can work through ambiguity, proactively solve problems and create data-driven insights to inform decision making and importantly, influence business decision-making at the Executive Vice President level.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Build a portfolio of analytical processes and deliverables for complex revenue streams and identify impactful insights regarding key drivers with the ability to navigate competing priorities from system executives and regional leaders.
Collaborate with Analysts to build necessary data sets, visualizations and analyses to craft impactful stories to influence decisions across the health system.
Design and implement self-service business intelligence capabilities (e.g., Tableau and Power BI views) for the organization around financial and operating performance and drivers.
Serve as a liaison between FP&A, ministry (hospital) finance leaders and other technical teams.
Provide well thought out, insightful and forward-looking guidance to key stakeholders.
Approve or deny policy and procedural changes to ensure optimal revenue recognition and compliance with internal and external requirements.
Lead evaluation and preparation of various optimization strategies and make recommendations that positively impact existing reimbursement schemes.
Coordinate special projects and provide finance support for FP&A, Reimbursement and Revenue Cycle leadership.
Continuously monitor workload and methodologies used to achieve results, making recommendations to improve efficiency and/or achieve cost savings whenever possible.
Initiate and improve processes and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, Data Science or Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8 years’ demonstrated experience in the healthcare finance or related field.
Demonstrated executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills with a keen ability to distill complex analysis into impactful yet simple and concise stories.
Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations and creating effective business partnerships.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Public Accountant, HFMA or FACHE certifications.
Knowledge of the patient account lifecycle.
A sense of humor and ability to bring enthusiasm and optimism to complex business and performance discussions.
