Providence is calling an Outpatient Therapist to the Providence Medical Group's (PMG) new Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic - Willamette Falls in Oregon City, OR.
The PMG Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic – Willamette Falls is a multi-discipline based outpatient clinic with specialists that assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions for children and adolescents (ages 4-17).
Our multidisciplinary team is looking for a Child and Adolescent Therapist with experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Collaborative Problem Solving to provide individual, group and family therapy modalities.
This is an exempt position with salary based pay. The schedule will be during the days Monday - Friday and will include facilitating an evening group once per week.
In this position, you will:
Independently provide evaluation, diagnosis, individual, family and group psychotherapy to non-Medicare eligible individuals seeking treatment in a multi-disciplinary specialty clinic. This position is not eligible to provide services to Medicare enrolled patients.
Bill all services as a professional service.
Determine level of care to determine or change level of care based on assessment and progress in treatment.
Collaborate with patient/support system in evaluating, diagnosing patients utilizing current edition Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, and/or provide specialized psychotherapy services as described in CPT to reduce and /or resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders identified.
Utilize established approaches and standards to complete assessment of patient risk to self and/or others, complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety.
Incorporate evidence based approaches in psychotherapy including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and the Recovery Model.
Demonstrate effectiveness in assessment and diagnosis, including crisis evaluations, individual, group and family psychotherapy, and multi-modal treatment settings.
Demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities consistent with their licensure and association code of ethics, and shall perform duties in a manner that respects patient self-determination, reduces health disparities/barriers to care, and adheres to their Standards of Practice and the Providence mission.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in Social Work from an School of Social Work that is accredited or in candidacy status by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) -or- Master's degree eligible for licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) -or- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors
Licensed in the state of Oregon as an LCSW -or- LPC -or- LMFT
2 years of post masters experience in a behavioral health setting
Certification to assess and implement a Directors Hold as delegate to Mental Health Authority within 6 months of hire*
For those in a dedicated Chemical Dependency treatment program, a CADC is required, or 60 hours of approved continuing education units (CEUs) in diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders within one year of hire is required.*
*These are not requirements for this position.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Post Master's experience using DBT and Collaborative Problem Solving with Children and Adolescents.
