Providence is calling a SpiritualCare Program Coordinator to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

This position will report to Director of

Spiritual Care for Southwest Washington by supporting chaplaincy services and

programs for patients, families, staff and community members. This position

will provide administrative support to the Spiritual Care Director and the

Manager of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for Spiritual Care Services at St.

Peter Hospital which includes the CPE Center, Providence Centralia Hospital

(PCH) and the Providence Medical Group ( PMG).

Services. Through service and hospitality, communication and interactions with

staff, caregivers, volunteers and customers the Providence Mission and

Spiritual Care Services may be more fully integrated into the healthcare

culture.

In this position you will:

  • Carry out the goals and aspirations of Spiritual CareServices

  • Assist supervisor and staff with event and projectplanning and management, various programs and services, schedulingvolunteers; attending to and triaging customer service

  • Track expenditures and program information; producingstatistical and summary reports; reviewing and monitoring applications,permits, and funds

  • Coordinate on call and daily spiritual care staffscheduling

  • Develop written materials and answering correspondence

  • Develop and implement systems, processes, procedures,forms, and work methods, to be followed by staff and providers, thatcoordinates the program’s workflow

  • Manage functions and ordering relatedto program finances, supplies and equipment

  • Establish positive working relationships with allmembers of the health team as well as with the volunteers

  • Keep records as required

  • Assist, develop and present ongoing orientation andtraining to staff regarding accessibility to services and program

  • Possess thorough knowledge of common office practices,processes, and computer skills

  • Demonstrate ability to use computer software pertinentto the position, including proficient use of spreadsheet, database,word-processing applications and basic office equipment

  • Organize with excellent customer service skills

  • Initiate and maintain good and clear communication

  • Support a continuum of Spiritual Care Services forpatients/clients and staff in service to PSPH, PCH, and PMG

  • Attend and participate in meetings when required

  • Demonstrategood judgment, initiative and professional attitude

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for thisposition include:

degree

Three

or more years of experience as an office assistant or

executive

assistant project coordinator

Proficiency

with MS Office Suite

Preferred qualifications for thisposition include:

Professional

and clerical experience in Healthcare setting
