Required qualifications:

  • Nursing degree/diploma upon hire

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within three (3) years of hire

  • A RN with twenty (20) years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),

  • American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), - or-

  • Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be from American Heart Association (AHA) - or- Military Training Network (MTN) upon hire

  • (All applicable caregivers need to renew every two (2) years)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be from American Heart Association (AHA) - or- Military Training Network (MTN) within six (6) months of hire -OR-

  • (All applicable caregivers need to renew every two (2) years)

  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Core (ENPC) certification must be from Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) within six (6) months of hire

  • (All applicable caregivers need to renew every four (4) years)

  • Trauma Nurse Core (TNCC) certification must be from Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) within 6 months of hire

  • (All applicable caregivers need to renew every three (3) years)

  • One (1) year of acute care experience working with the patient population similar to Emergency Services - or- completion of the specialty residency located at Providence St. Peter Hospital

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • National certification in Emergency Services
