Providence Pharmacy Technician II - Credena in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician II (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Variable Shift) to work in Pharmacy Department at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

Performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose, IV and chemotherapeutic medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt, safe and accurate manner.
In this position you will:
Must be competent in the assessment, treatment, and age-related care
Accurately fills medication stock requisitions for departments and clinics.
Repackages liquids, injectables and oral medications using proper labeling procedure and following legal requirements
Fills and prepares medications and IV solutions accurately.
Actively supports and incorporates the mission, “Value-based Customer Service Standards and Behaviors, and core values into daily activities.
Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.
Reports to work as scheduled and on time per system policy. Time away from work is approved and taken in accordance with established system policies.
Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, employees, and as appropriate, other information.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Level A training program certified by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy or equivalent educ/experience
Active WA State Pharmacy Tech license from the Department of Health (PHTECHL).
Pharmacy Technician National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required within the first six months of hire.
Experience with telephone call prioritization.
Experience with stressful/urgent need situations.
Three (3) years hospital Pharmacy experience working at least the equivalent of 0.5 FTE or greater with IV admixture/aseptic technique skills
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- 1 year hospital pharmacy experience.
