Providence Health & Services Perioperative Support Assistant in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Perioperative Support Assistant (1.0 FTE, Evening Shift) to work in Surgery Department at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
A Perioperative Support Assistant provides patient support services within surgical services under the direction of designated licensed staff.
In this position you will:
Facilitate the set-up of equipment and supplies for surgery cases. Demonstrate knowledgeable of equipment and supplies required for each case.
Assist Surgical Support Tech (MOR) & OPS Support personnel in procuring supplies and equipment for each case
Assist nursing staff with room turnovers
Implement body substance isolation. Knowledge of routine housekeeping duties
Turns over rooms at end of case
Provide safe transportation of patients. Neonate; Pediatric; Adolescent; Adult; Older Adult.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience as a surgery assistant in a hospital or medical environment
Certification as an EMT or NAC.
