Providence is calling an Interventional Radiology Technologist (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Days) to work in Interventional Radiology at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

Provides quality care to patients. Assists with Interventional Radiology procedures proficiently with various physician types, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons) to achieve desired outcomes. Participates in the growth and development of the DI department and contributes ideas. Brings ideas of improvement to the attention of Management.
In this position you will:
Responds appropriately according to age related needs and considerations.
Proficient in all Interventional Suites.
Performs independently as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist.
Performs & film exams independently.
Knowledgeable in IR supplies (location & type used).
Knowledge of anatomy and clinically applies it to exams.
Interacts professionally with patient and family members.
Incorporates growth and development into care when performing exams.
Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions for procedures and shields patient accordingly.
Demonstrates knowledge of special equipment and devices for procedures.
Demonstrates ability to respond appropriately to emergency clinical situations.
Communicates with patient and family about procedure and delays.
Able to troubleshoot equipment.
Able to perform sterile technique.
Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure – makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Two (2) years community college/vocational training in a certified radiological technologist training program or equivalent educ/experience
Registration by the AART (American Association of Radiological Technologists).
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
Washington State Dept. of Health Radiologic Technologist License.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year of previous experience to include the equivalent of one year previous special procedures and or cardiac catheterization experience with responsibilities for assisting on Angiographic and other high risk procedures.
Healthcare related Bachelors Degree
ARRT Credentials in Vascular Interventional Radiography
