Providence Health & Services Group Therapist - Psychiatric Unit in Olympia, Washington


Providence is calling a Group Therapist (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to work in the Psychiatric Unit at Providence St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia, WA.

We are seeking a Group Therapist to provide inpatient group psychotherapy.

In this position you will:

  • Carry out crisis intervention and counseling.

  • Complete emergent clinical assessments of patients to aide in successful outcomes.

  • Provide information, follow-up referrals and discharge planning to patients and families.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s degree

  • Licensed in Washington State as a Mental Health Counselor or eligible to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor

  • Three years experience in acute care mental health

  • One year experience conducting psychoterapeutic and psychoeducational groups

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Professional license qualifying as a Mental Health Professional
