Providence Health & Services Emergency Technician - Emergency Services in Olympia, Washington


Providence is calling an Emergency Technician to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

The ED Tech is a service-oriented individual providing a variety of nursing related and patient care services for patients in the Emergency Department.

In this position you will:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors

  • Take and record vital signs, height, weight and other applicable measurements

  • Perform treatment/procedures such as applying topical ointments, surgical skin preparations and application of ice packs and heat

  • Assist licensed staff in the preparation of patients for treatments/procedures


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (four years of work experience will substitute)

  • Nursing Assistant Certification in Washington state

  • Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification (MA-P)

  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in an acute care facility or an ambulatory setting

  • Experience in a fast-paced, emergency care environment
