Providence Health & Services Continuing Medical Education and Credentialing Coordinator in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Continuing Medical Education and Credentialing Coordinator to work at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
A Medical Education and Credentialing Coordinator will plan, develop, implement, evaluate and coordinate existing and new educational and professional development programs for physicians and other medical staff providers with regard to issues related to clinical and non-clinical areas associated with the practice of medicine at Providence Centralia Hospital (PCH) and Providence St. Peter Hospital (PSPH).
In this position you will:
Coordinate CME office operations to meet personnel, financial, legal, logistical, accreditation, credit and/or regulatory standards
Demonstrate knowledge of current ACCME essentials and standards for accreditation and compliance with the Competency Area for CME Professionals
Demonstrate knowledge and application of confidentiality requirements including requirements associated with HIPAA and peer review protections
Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare terminology specific to the responsibility and functions associated with the Medical Staff Offices
Knowledge and skill in planning, budgeting, Microsoft software, event planning management, communication, and ACCME and WSMA standards.
Knowledge and skill in medical staff credentialing and privileging including use of credentialing software.
Proficiency in use of CME tracking software.
Proficiency in use of credentialing and privileging software.
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Education, Business Administration or related field.
3 years experience in Continuing Medical Education accreditation and Special Events Coordination.
2 years experience with duties and responsibilities associated with medical staff credentialing and privileging or other executive administrative support.
CCMEP (Certified Continuing Medical Education Professional).
CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager) or CPSC (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
