Providence Health & Services Clinical Secretary in Olympia, Washington


Providence is calling a Clinical Secretary (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who enjoys customer interactions and multi-tasking to provide administrative support.

In this position you will:

  • Create a friendly and cooperative atmosphere for visitors, hospital personnel and medical staff members

  • Respond to inquiries, maintain documents, patient files and database records

  • Type correspondence and other material

  • Arrange meetings and appointments


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English

  • Proficiency in computerized scheduling software, billing software, and Microsoft Office products

  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills

  • Medical clerical experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • Experience with ICD-9 codes, medical billing and Medicare regulations
