Providence is calling a Supervisor, Dietary (Full-Time/Day Shift) to Providence Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, North Hollywood, CA.

We are seeking a Supervisor, Dietary who will establish policies for department pertaining to food production and food service. Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific resident population (geriatrics), and participates in related continuing education.
In this position you will:
Establish dietary policies and procedures, organize and direct dietary functions. Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards
Inspect dietary department on a regular basis for compliance with federal, state, and local agencies regulations
Select, assign staff, schedule hours, evaluate performance, and make recommendations regarding personnel actions. Coordinate activities of the dietary department with other departments
Plan normal and special diet menus, following physician's orders for the individual resident's specific diet
Maintain dietary department budget allowance
Implement sanitation schedule and ensure food service employees comply to the schedule
Make visits to residents to determine their preferences and the quality of service received
Coordinate with the Registered Dietitian regarding inservice and training programs for dietary personnel
Train, and orient new employees, complete on-the-job checklists, conduct weekly staff meetings, and coaches staff regularly
Maintain all dietary statistics, records, file menus, dietary manuals, up-to-date recipes, file schedules, and other federal, state, and local requirements
Direct maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of residents and staff. Establish cleaning schedule for dietary personnel
Perform duties as Cook as required
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops
Document in resident's medical chart as appropriate for position
Attend meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed
Required qualifications for this position include:
Certified Dietary Manager
2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
Customer service orientation/self starter/ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment
Must be computer literate
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Dietary Manager's Program Certificate
