Providence Diagnostic Imaging Office Specialist/Scheduler in Newberg, Oregon
Providence is calling a Diagnostic Imaging Office Specialist - Scheduler to Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, Oregon. This is a full-time, benefited position. Schedule is 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. This will be a work from home position as of January, 2021.
We are seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Office Specialist - Scheduler who will be accountable for scheduling multiple complex imaging procedures by obtaining appropriate patient demographics and current/historical medical information (i.e., ICD-9 Coding, History and Profile). Complexity of this position is evidenced by the use of simple and complex medical terminology and scheduling protocols. The image management portion of this position is responsible for control and management of patient images and reports, including areas such as Surgery and Critical Care. Must also think independently and make relatively complex decisions in a fast-paced environment. Provides superior customer service and service recovery, utilizing good judgment that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients, visitors, physicians and Providence Health System staff.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Gather complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to all customers
Provide for efficient services and appropriate patient care by providing timely, courteous service in scheduling, image collation, image retrieval, problem resolution or any other request by internal or external customers:
Practice professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance and attitude that reinforces physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence.
Respond and demonstrate flexibility to changes in the work schedule as determined by staffing and patient load
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.
Two (2) years of Clerical experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training: Business -OR- college courses
Knowledge of medical terminology obtained through previous work history and/or college course work
Basic medical terminology
